THE LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

INSURANCE:

MOST COMMERCIAL INSURANCE COMPANIES NOW REQUIRE THE KITCHEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM TO BE INSPECTED AND CLEANED REGULARLY AT LEAST ANNUALLY AND IN SOME CASES EVERY 3 MONTHS DEPENDED ON USAGE FOR THE SYSTEM (SEE TABLE ON KITCHEN EXTRACTION PAGE FOR DETAILS).

FIRE RISK ASSESMENT:

A FULL AND DETAILED RISK ASSESMENT WILL HAVE TO BE CARRIED OUT FROM THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BUILDING OPERATIONS AND KITCHEN EXTRACTION FEATURES HIGHLY ON THIS AS A POTENTIAL HAZARD.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIRMENTS:

EHO OFFICERS NOW EXPECT THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE ACCOUNTS OF REGULAR CLEANING SCHEDULES TO BE COMPLETED FOR THEIR DOCUMENTS, WITHIN THE DOCUMENT PACKAGE THAT LOCAL AUTHORITIES ISSUE. THERE IS A SECTION WITH REGARD TO THE EXTRACTION SYSTEM.
